Very proud of all of you. xxxx

Our Pupil of the Moment is Alicia Williams 8 year old Alicia started attending our Performing Arts classes 2 years ago and was quite quickly invited to become part of the Delta competition troupe. Alicia has worked really hard, has committed to every extra class she has been invited to and over the last couple of months has become the "talk of the teachers". Her extra ballet classes have strengthened her work immensely, meaning she can cope with much harder work and looks good against girls who have been dancing a lot longer than her.

In singing and drama she has grown hugely in confidence, absorbing everything she learns in each lesson and putting it into her work. She was asked to be a member of the Delta Festival Team, representing the School at the Chester Festival of Speech and Drama, where she gave a perfect solo performance. The festivals take a lot of courage and this is testament to her growing confidence. She is very much a unanimous choice as our Pupil of the Moment and we look forward to watching her continue to blossom.

Congratulations to the Delta festival team that competed at the Chester Drama Festival in March.

Emily Holden, 13 years, swept the board with 2 x 1sts and a 3rd in poetry and acting. Other successes were: Ffion Everall 3rd place, Joanna McHugh 2nd place, Suzy Keen 2nd place.

The rest of the team were well placed in an amazingly high-standard competition.  We are so proud of you all.

Delta Dragons win International Eisteddfod 2012

The Delta showchoir took their Sister Act medley to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod on July 5th to compete against other show choirs. They fought off some fantastic choirs to get to the final and after an outstanding performance they won the show choir competition. They received their award from the Internationally renowned classical singer Alfie Boe, and they were then invited on stage to sing with him. It was a great honour for all the choir. Their choir master: Gemma McHale said "This has been one of the best days in my 27 years - my nuns were absolutely amazing, I can't stop smiling. Thanks to the wonderful nuns...I am so lucky to work with such talent! Definitely a day to remember." All staff and pupils at Delta are very proud of their show choir and are looking forward to seeing them perform again in the Christmas show and are looking forward to starting work on next years entry to the Eisteddfod.

To join the show choir please contact Delta.
